Campaign Spotlight: Printpack

"Personally, I have been witness to the tremendous impact that various agencies have had for individuals and families here in Monroe County and I know how challenging it can be to provide services with limited resources." Charlene Perez, HR Manager and Campaign Coordinator at Printpack shared with us about how her organization gets involved with the community.

"Printpack has a long tradition of supporting United Way. One component of our foundational Statement of Philosophy is a commitment to help improve the quality of life in every community in which we operate. All of our locations participate in the annual campaign but locally, we look for ways to do more."

Perez and her team at Printpack's commitment to improving the quality of life here in Bloomington is evident by their time spent at United Way member agencies and the creative ways they contribute monetarily.

"We recognize that it is difficult for many to give financially, so we look for opportunities to give through volunteering. We have taken employee groups to PALS and Big Brothers Big Sisters, and supported Hoosier Hills Food Bank both through volunteer time and food drives."

Perez understands the value of the work United Way and our member agencies do for our community. Along with pledge cards and volunteer hours at member agencies, Printpack has made opportunities throughout the campaign for employees to make one-time special donations.

"We sold "mulligans" at our annual golf outing, hosted a silent auction, and we even put our Plant Manager in a dunk tank at the summer picnic," said Perez.

Thanks to Charlene and the entire Printpack team for stepping up and fighting for our community!
