Serves the social, emotional and educational needs of children by facilitating professionally supported relationships with adult volunteers in a variety of programs.
Guidance organization fosters physical, intellectual, emotional and social growth for boys and girls 6-18; after-school transportation, tutoring, snacks. At-risk services.
Enhances human dignity and functioning for the community at-large through education, social service delivery, and advocacy. Services include fatherhood education seminars, co-parent negotiations and child and family counseling.
Offers, without question or obligation, free meals, take-home items, and meal delivery to youth participating in non-profit after-school (or summer) programs. Oak Tree Counseling services are now provided by Catholic Charities Bloomington.
Provides after-school/summer/holiday programming for girls ages 6-18. Transportation, organized sports, teen room, technology, self-defense, etc.
Collects, stores, & distributes food to 110 charities in six counties. Over 20,000 people receive food bank resources through emergency pantries & soup kitchens every month.
Provides urgently needed civil legal assistance and legal education to low income households and to seniors.
Provides clothing, dental, eye and emergency medical care for students who need assistance to function in school. MCCSC serves any student in need.
Emergency shelter, 24-hour crisis intervention, support services for battered and sexually abused women and their children; legal advocacy, training and community resource center.
Offers high-quality childcare for preschool children (ages 2-6) all year and school age children (ages 6-10) in summer, emergency food, clothing and financial counseling to low-income families.
Food pantry whose mission is to provide healthful, wholesome foods to people in need, as well as nutrition and gardening education.
Provides quality services and supports to people with disabilities in south central Indiana. Services are tailored to each individual based on their interests and support needs.
Provides equine assisted activities to children and adults with physical, learning, cognitive, and/or emotional disabilities as well as to at-risk youth.
Provides high quality reproductive health care; and promotes sexual responsibility through understanding and education. United Way supports only education services, pap and other lab tests for women and men.
Provides entertainment, recreation, and job training activities for adolescents in a safe, alcohol, drug, and smoke-free environment that is co-managed by the adolescents themselves.
Assists with dental, optical, medical, and clothing needs of students who might otherwise go without these services.
Provides assistance for individuals and families with food, clothes, furniture, transportation, rent, utilities, and medicine. Operates childcare for infants to five year olds.
Provides a daytime respite and resource center for Monroe County residents who are living in poverty and experiencing hunger, homelessness, and lack of access to health care and basic life necessities.
Provides educational, vocational, and supported living/residential service to children and adults with developmental disabilities; promotes integration of individuals into the community whenever possible.
Provides the following
services without cost to the medically underserved in Monroe and Owen
Counties: easily accessible, quality primary and preventive healthcare;
treatment for both acute and chronic conditions; health education that
empowers individuals to take responsibility for their own well being.
